One special part is the herring. The programm includes the supply of herring in all various forms to the industry, wholesaletrade, smokeries etc. fresh, frozen, marinated and salted. Fimex was founded 1971 by Georg Sebelin and Jürgen Köser. The heavy decrease of herring landings in Europe made Fimex to start as first german company building up production capacity with filleting mashines in the United States and Canada in order to cover the demand of the German and European fish industry with frozen herring. In this course the production of semi ready herringproducts was also developed. Meanwhile herring became short worldwide and fimex began not only to import frozen herring and herringflaps from british Columbia but build up again as first German company production of sardinops with own filliting mashines in north- and south Peru. Mackerel and whitefish Like the herring, mackerel is also a traditional product dealt in by fimex. Additionally our company imports and distributes frozen whitefish fillets supplying industry, wholesalers and home services. Besides the headquarter in Hamburg fimex has a sale`s office in Kiel to serve the market in Schleswig-Holstein. This company should not be confounded with "Fimex Tiefkühl GmbH" in Bremerhaven. That company was also founded together by Georg Sebelin and Jürgen Köser but has been separated from first fimex since more then 10 years.   With us you always make the right move.
